THE MISSION
"Commit your works to the Lord
WORSHIP. OBEY. REACH. DISCIPLE.
We’re stepping into a new season as a church, and we want YOU to be part of it. Our building campaign isn’t just about bricks and blueprints—it’s about creating space for life change, community growth, and expanded outreach. Whether you’ve been with us for years or are just getting connected, this page will walk you through the vision, progress, and opportunities to partner in what God is doing here at Word Baptist Church.
VISION &
PURPOSE
This isn’t just a construction project—it’s a faith project. As our church family continues to grow, so does our need for space that allows us to disciple more people, serve our city more effectively, and create room for the next generation. Through this campaign, we’re preparing for what’s next while staying rooted in our mission to love God, love people, and make disciples. This is about multiplying ministry opportunities and being good stewards of the vision God has entrusted to us.

Word Baptist’s Mission Statement is Love God. Equip The Church. Impact The World. Having more space for our home campus means more room for more people to worship God. It can give unique opportunities to witness. I can see basketball and volleyball games inside the church will bring non-believers into the facilities. We could have a neighborhood library full of Bibles and spiritual content such as Christian videos and music. A coffee site on campus could be a place to invite adults into the church that might never darken our doors. I’ve heard it said that the light that shines the farthest shines the brightest at home. A strong local church can increase Word’s spread of the gospel to “the ends of the earth.”
- Brad Fields
I’ve seen firsthand how limited space can hold us back—from events where people were packed wall to wall, chairs lined along the edges, and crowds stretching out to both sides of the street. More space would mean so much more than just comfort—it would give us room to truly connect and grow as a church family. It would allow us to better serve our community in times of crisis, like we did during the pandemic and tornado, and open doors to share our building with others for meetings and planning. With plenty of space for adults, youth, and children to engage, serve, and grow, we’d be equipped to better serve both our church body and the city around us.
- Tracy Hampton
This is an opportunity to invest in eternity. I look forward to seeing how God will use this building to build His kingdom and mature His people
- Mena Jenkins
Building a new church isn’t just about a building—it’s about planting deeper roots in every part of my life. For my family, it means a stronger foundation where our faith and relationships can grow; for my kids, it offers a place to belong, form lasting friendships, and see faith lived out in a vibrant, welcoming space designed with them in mind. As the leader of Arrow Adoptions, I am deeply grateful for Word Baptist Church, which has been a lifeline—praying with us, supporting us, and helping us serve those in need. A new building would open doors for more outreach, volunteers, and community impact, becoming more than a structure but a launching pad for life, service, and lasting impact. As a family, we want to grow deeper with Christ and serve Him to the fullest, and we’ve never seen a church do this like Word. We’re so excited to see how a new building can expand that impact for the kingdom!
- Caleigh Parker
For Word to have a bigger building means that it will just give us an opportunity to serve the community more, and build relationships and get to know our community, be part of the community again, like we always have done, but with a bigger impact.
- Brenda Palafox

PRAYER
FOCUS
We believe prayer is foundational to everything we do, including this campaign. We invite you to pray with us for wisdom, unity, provision, and for the lives that will be touched through this project. Whether you’re praying alone, with your family, or during a church gathering, we’ve provided specific prayer points to help guide you. Let’s ask God to do more than we can imagine.
Why is Prayer Essential for Church Building Projects?
Church building projects often come with significant challenges, including financial constraints, opposition, and logistical issues. However, prayer invites God’s intervention and ensures that every step of the project aligns with His purpose. Through prayer, we gain wisdom, provision, and protection as we commit our plans to the Lord. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”
