Our mission is to love God, equip the church and impact the World.
Word Baptist exists by grace to bring Glory to God and to love Him. We act out our love for God by seeking to know Him more fully, by obeying His commands as they are laid out in scripture, and by worshiping the Lord in unity, according to the examples provided in His word.
Our worship also includes the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s supper, along with sustaining the doctrines of the faith that are set forth throughout New Testament.
Our Story
In July of 2012, Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas called Jamar Andrews to start and pastor their newest campus.
On January 6, 2013, Word Campus was launched in the Family Life Center of Central Baptist Church.
Shortly after being launched, Word Campus moved to a facility located in North Jonesboro.
After four years of ministry functioning as a Campus of Central Baptist Church on the North side of Jonesboro, Word Campus transitioned to become a church plant of Central Baptist.
On January 1, 2017 Word Campus became Word Baptist Church.
